Band Background

Free Recovery was founded several years ago (around 2012). Early development of the band was stunted by band members coming & going through the revolving door of artistic difference. Despite set backs, Free Recovery has always managed to bounce back, and as soon as our current line up came together in 2014, something just clicked. Since then Free Recovery has been rising (like a Pheonix) from the depths of dim lit basements, rehearsal studios and gig venues.

The band has slowly been flourishing, whilst perfecting it’s unique full fat grunge sound. We’ve worked hard to produce our first studio recorded EP in 2015, plus a great live show; as a result we are incredibly stoked to have been recognised by Classic Rock Magazine as one of the most up and coming bands of 2016. What started as acoustic and primitive, has matured into an impressive blend of electric riffs, concentrated rhythms, slamming bass lines, uplifting baritone vocals, and soulful lyrics.
